February 14th 2016:
Happy Valentine's Day Loves! I'm sure everyone is getting ready for their big dates tonight or maybe just hanging out at home, cuddling with your significant other. If you're single on this day, NO WORRIES, shopping and new clothes will never let you down. The past couple blog posts, I've been posting about denim, faux fur, and winter white. White can look so pretty in the winter, it really helps your outfit stand out on those gloomier winter days. I've been loving easy, knit, comfortable dresses. This dress is a white and super comfortable. I like that it's tight at the top and flows into a slight A-line cut. Since it has a mock neck, it gives it more of that "winter" look to it. The dress is long sleeves so you could definitely pair a faux fur vest over it but I decided to pair a long ribbed cardigan. I remember years ago when I really only ever wore short cardigans, now I feel like I only ever wear long cardigans. They are in style and on trend right now and were last year as well. Since I'm wearing a long cardigan over this dress, I wanted to wear some type of shoe that would give me height. I paired my dark grey lace-up knee high boots with the outfit. Knee-high or over the knee boots are great when wearing short dresses with no stockings because they help to cover up majority of your skin. Since my outfit is neutral colors and no prints, I added a statement necklace. I really like this necklace because it has multiple layers and it's still simple but definitely helps to have the outfit stand out. If your not into pink or red, white is definitely another option for Valentine's Day. In fashion we don't follow the rules of not wearing white during the winter, we always want to make a statement.
