February 29th 2016:
Happy Leap Year! The weather was so nice yesterday and today I feel like I need to get in the rest of my winter clothes while I still can! There are so many turtlenecks I still haven't worn so today I decided that I was going to wear one. I really like the look of pairing chunky turtleneck sweaters with tight fitted pencil skirts. I feel like it creates a professional look but it also looks and feels super cozy and comfortable. Today I wore this long, waffle knit, grey turtleneck. This is one of my favorite turtlenecks because it's long so it covers the butt and it would look nice with tight skinny jeans for a more casual look. I paired it with my tight black pencil skirt. I tucked in, in the front to show wear my waist was. Otherwise I felt like I would of looked light a rectangle and it wouldn't have been very flattering to my body shape. I also like tight pencil skirts are paired with knee high boots and the skirt goes over the boot. I'm not really sure why I like this, but I feel like it creates a unified look... if that even makes sense. This outfit made me feel very mature. Whenever I wear a skirt that goes past my knees, I like to wear some type of heeled shoe to give me height so I don't look stumpy. Overall my outfit is very simple, just how I like it, and I'm back to my neutral tones. I think grey is my second favorite neutral color. I've been wearing and buying a lot of it lately. Hope you all enjoyed your extra day this month!
