August 3rd 2017:
You know, I used to really dislike Bermuda shorts. I always associated "mature age" with them. But I've seen them everywhere this summer and some really cute ones. I guess I always thought about the ones that come right above the new in a solid denim color and then have that cuff. Yeah, you know which one's I'm talking about. But now, they are everywhere and are distressed, laced, different colors, etc. So I thought, let me give them a try. Well of course I went with super distressed ones and let me tell you, I've worn these things so many times. They are super comfy and I don't have to worry about my butt cheeks hanging out. I've worn them very casually for the most part with sandals and a tee or tank. But these can totally be dressed up and that's what I did today. As I mentioned mine are super distressed and I like that because they don't cling to my knees. I have really skinny knees so when things come right to my knee it makes them look even skinnier so that's why I like these. I'm sure you've seen the blue and white pinstripes everywhere. I paired these with a loose blue & white pinstripe button up shirt. It's a bit long, so I tucked it in halfway. I liked the blue on blue. Then to add a pop into my outfit, I added my lace-up red pumps to give a WOW to the outfit. Adding heels is a great way to dress up Bermuda shorts, it's also a great way to make your legs look longer because sometimes Bermuda shorts can make them look a little short and stubby. So I encourage you to try a pair if you never have! Outfit Details: Top: Primark Similar: Forever 21 Shorts: Go jane Exact: Go Jane (on sale for 50% off) Shoes: Payless Similar: Charlotte Russe
