Hair has always been a big issue for me. When it comes to my hair, I am a little lazy. I know, hair is just as important because it can definitely complete your look. I like easy but still cute. But I'm definitely going to try harder to do my hair, because these trends this school year are SO cute!
1. Sleek and swideswept ponytail:
Ponytails are easy. I know the one we are probably most used to, is throwing all of our hair back and high into a ponytail. But this school year try something different. Sleek has been popular with any hairstyle lately, and to the side in a ponytail is perfect for school. It's not too fancy but it's still an upscale from your typical ponytail.
Curls are always pretty! But subtle curls are even better. Waves are perfect because they do not look like you tried to hard. Some girls are lucky enough to have them naturally. Waves can go with any outfit, from causal to professional.
3. Double Bun:
Why have one bun, when you can have two?! I love buns, lol. I think they are soo easy but yet still look like you did something with your hair. But the trend seems to be leaning toward a double bun. It's bigger, more relaxed, and great for an everyday or casual outfit. It's especially great for school. Those mornings when you do not feel like doing much with your hair, or yet have the time to do anything. You can still be trendy with a double bun.
4. Braided Twist:
Braids are huge right now! Any kind of braid is spot on for school. They are fun and so trendy. The best part is there are so many different types of braids. Challenge yourself to learn new ones and have a different braid for everyday.
5. Blunt Bangs:
I had bangs for a little while and I loved them, but unfortunately I do not have the right hair for them. Blunt bangs are great to start off the school year. They show that you have a little edge in you and that you are daring. It's a great way to go into the school year with confidence, and bangs can help you do that. Get rid of the side bangs... everyone has those ;) Go blunt!
6. Subtle Ombre:
Ombre is great, but the trend is starting to move into more subtle ombre. One that doesn't have such a harsh distinction between the two different hair colors. It's more natural and looks really beautiful. Don't go into the school year with one hair color, spice it up a little. If you've never died your hair then subtle ombre is definitely the way to go. For those who follow my blog and are local, check out Salon Fiber in Phoenixville. They do great Balayage which is what subtle ombre is!
7. Pop Color:
For those of you who really want to make a statement, pop color is the perfect way to do it. Not too much, but little pieces here and there are right on spot with the trend. Pop colors can spice up any hair style, like a basic ponytail or even just having it straightened and down. The best thing about temporary color is that you can make it match your outfit :)
