Although Fashion Week is still occurring all over the world, it was just wrapped up in New York not that long ago. I though it'd be very appropriate to lay out some of my favorite Spring 2016 trends that hit the runways. Fashion Week is so exciting and filled with many great fashions. Although the designs on the runways are not usually what we'd actually wear on the day to day basis, they basically give the guidelines to retailers on what to simmer down to make it wearable for consumers.
There were many great trends (a few not so great), but I've highlighted ones that I really like and thought would definitely be present in affordable retailers.
1. Cold Shoulders:
I love this trend because I think it is very sexy yet still classy. You are only showing off the shoulders, so it's not too much, but it is still mysterious.
2.. Solid Stripe:
Will stripes ever go away? I sure hope not. Stripes are a statement all on their own, therefore we don't have to put much effort into our outfit when wearing them. This spring stripes are back and they are bigger and bolder.
3. The Bomber Jacket:
There's always a trending jacket that you need to have for Spring and this is it! The bomber jacket has been trending for a while now and I guess it will continuing into the Spring. It's hard to find short jackets that I like, but I love this style. It can be worn very casually or dressed up.
4. New Romantics
This is a trend that I am not that familiar with but I really liked what I saw coming down the runway. It's a mix of ruffles, feathers, sheer, and chiffon. But it's good to step our of our comfort zone and try something new!
